I’ve hit the 700 mile point in my 1000 mile walking challenge for 2022.
I’ve crossed the border in to Scotland, on the virtual route.
I’m still approximately keeping up with the virtual pace maker – 70% of the year has gone, and I’m 70% there.
Over summer it was harder to keep up the miles, because it was SO HOT. I had thought that i’d be able to get out and plod the streets – but it just wasn’t practical without melting a little!
Now temperatures are a lot more liveable, but there are always other things to do that go for a walk. Life is made up of working, allotment’ing, looking after various animals (we recently took on a pair of chickens and a pony – all take a bit of time to care for during the day!), guitaring and generally living.
BUT it’s still good to get out and go for a walk. It really helps clear the mind which- when you have a lot on , and caring responsibilities, can really help.
The nights might be closing in as we approach Autumn, but the end is in sight..
take care
